A student of Metro University was having problems with her computer: during one of her lengthy study periods in the library, the laptop randomly shut down and had problems starting back up. This would not do, but she simply could not afford a new machine. She decided to bring her computer in to Eboxlab.
Issue: The Eboxlab tech quickly made the assessment, and the problem revealed itself to be a failed motherboard. He told her that leaving the laptop on for extended periods of time caused the motherboard to overheat, and consequently become fried. Along with hardware failure, she had multiple viruses attacking her drive, making the computer incredibly slow.
Actions: The computer was repaired in just two days: the motherboard was replaced, the viruses removed and effective software was installed to ward off future infection.
Outcome: The client was very pleased with her computer being in excellent condition. Her studies would go much smoother without the extra-long load times, and even purchased a cooling unit for the laptop as recommended by the Eboxlab tech.
